The Toyota 79 Series is an iconic old-school vehicle, which really lives up to its reputation as a tough, functional workhorse and off-road tourer. Although often dubbed as one of the most reliable heavy duty Utes available, the standard design is extremely simple and somewhat lacking in character. This is where Torqit’s 3.5” Twin Exit Performance Exhaust for the 79 Series dual cab enters the game. Renowned for our Landcruiser systems, Torqit has put in extensive R & D to deliver the perfect mix of sound, performance, and quality.

Designed for maximum power and torque, the turbo back 79 Series dual cab twin exhaust is one of the most thick and durable mandrel bent systems of its kind in Australia. Tried and tested in the toughest of Australian conditions, it is manufactured from 304 grade stainless steel and is up to 2mm thick to prevent cracking when traversing rough terrain. The three-bolt laser cut flanges are also manufactured from 304 grade steel, and are welded inside and out for extra strength to withstand heavy duty off-roading. The thickness and diameter of the 79 Series 3.5” exhaust produces the ultimate deep V8 rumble, while the twin exit creates a different dynamic to the note. It’s not just the note that stands out on this system- it comes with a brushed stainless steel finish and a dual left and right exit, which are visible from the rear wheel back on both sides.

The system is a 3.5” from the back of the turbo and runs into 3” tailpipes. It includes high flow catalytic converters to improve the flow of gases, and double braided flex bellows which reduce strain on the system and absorb excess movement and vibrations. The blue titanium dump pipes help disperse heat and lower the Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGT’s). Titanium is a tough, low-corrosion metal with extremely high heat resistance and a long lifespan. By effectively dispersing heat and cooling rapidly, it keeps the engine bay cooler and protects the engine and its components.

Thick Stainless Steel
All Torqit exhausts have a thickness up to 2mm. This thickness produces a deeper note without cabin drone. Torqit exhaust systems are one of the thickest mandrel bent exhausts in Australia. Due to the thickness, it is extremely difficult to crack, so you can go off road with peace of mind that your system will stay intact.

304 Grade Stainless Steel
304 grade stainless steel is the highest quality material used for exhaust systems. The premium steel is more resistant to rusting and is much stronger than 409 grade stainless. Our high quality steel produces a deep note and guarantees extreme strength even in the toughest terrain.

Internal & External Welds
All Torqit Performance Exhausts have internal and external welds to increase the strength of the exhaust system. The reinforced system makes it extremely difficult to crack, even in tough off-road applications.

Mandrel Bent System
Mandrel bending supports the exhaust pipe from the inside as it is bent, this prevents crinkling of the pipe. The results are smooth and constant-diameter bends that reduce restriction and improve both the performance and efficiency of your engine.

Titanium Coated Dump Pipes
The titanium coating on these dump pipes helps with heat dispersion, keeping your engine bay cooler and protecting your engine and its components.

High Flow Diesel Catalytic Converter
Our exhaust systems focus on increasing flow capacity to allow the engine to breathe more freely. An increase in flow means the cat has to work harder and faster. Our high flow diesel specific cat is more efficient and will yield an increase in horsepower and overall performance.

Double Braided Flex Bellows
The flex bellows allow for movement on the vehicle’s chassis, this extra movement means the exhaust system will not crack. The double braid is twice as reinforced, and will not allow gas to escape.

INSTALLATION

The Torqit 3.5” Twin Exit exhaust for the 79 Series dual cab is a bolt together system, which comes with a full fitting kit and takes approximately three hours to install. While DIY fitment of this exhaust is possible, it may be hard to reach the turbo without a hoist. For this reason we recommend fitment through an authorized Torqit dealer.
